Boost Your Water To Stay Naturally Hydrated This Summer

Hey guys. Today I want to talk about how to stay hydrated this summer. Here we are, we’re in June, and here comes the heat, right? Some of the things that I want to educate you guys on today is how to stay hydrated. Dehydration is a cause to a lot of chronic illnesses, a lot of underlying autoimmune conditions, a lot of just ups and downs in your mood, so being hydrated is extremely important. As we enter the summer months, the heat starts to rise, we start perspirate even more water than ever before.

So the number one thing obviously is good water. I shot a video on water, I’m going to shoot a new video on water because I’m actually distilling spring water, restructuring it, energizing it, and adding minerals to it. So I haven’t shot that video yet, but that’ll be coming in the future, that’s why you got to stay subscribed, that’s why you got to be on the newsletter so you can get that information. But the key is taking purified water that has minerals in it, and making sure you’re drinking that first thing in the morning, making sure you’re drinking water a little bit in the afternoon, a little bit at lunch, a little bit at post-lunch, and then a little bit at night. So four or five times a day you need to be making sure you’re drinking water and you got to make sure that there’s minerals in there.

If you’re looking for a mineral solution, you can use our Icelandic sea salt, it’s a phenomenal salt to throw in a little pinch into some water. That’ll help bring some minerals back, that’ll help hydrate you, help that water kind of stick and hold.

Another thing that you can do is to look at things that are going to help bring even more electrolytes in the salt and those are going to be things like coconut water. Now, coconut water is everywhere now, so it’s like, “Which one do I get? What do buy?” Stay away from ones in cans if you can. I like the raw water, that gets the most expensive. Have my choice, I’m going to crack a coconut. I’m going to get an organic coconut, I’m going to crack it open, I’m going to drink that water. That’s going to be my most favorite way to drink a coconut, get coconut water, get those electrolytes in my diet.

Another thing you can do is you add a little bit of lemon juice to your diet. A little bit of lemon juice to your water, that’ll help bring electrolytes. Believe it or not, apple cider vinegar is another phenomenal product, you can add a little bit to your water as well. That’ll help bring in hydration. And as long as you’re having a combination of these things two and three times a day, you’re definitely going to be upping your hydration levels.

If you want to take it a step even further, you could get a cold pressed juice, could have lemon, cucumber, maybe a little coconut water inside of there, that’d be a phenomenal hydrating juice that you could bring into your diet. Maybe a little celery in there as well. I love having celery in my juice in the morning. I’m really not a big juicer though, I’m more of a blender. I like to blend the nutrition, I like to get all the fiber. That’s how I like to do it.

But, to hydrate your body it’s real important to understand that in the summertime we need to be adding a little bit more to our water than maybe we have from pre-winter. So things like Icelandic sea salt … There are trace minerals out there you can purchase, ionic trace minerals you can get, I don’t really like or dislike a brand. We played with folbic minerals as well in the past. But using a combination of those, using things like lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, my favorite is coconut water. Be careful on the coconut water though, because if you drink too much it’s got tons of sugar in it.

But you’ll notice that when you drink these foods and you add these electrolytes, you drink these liquids and you add electrolytes to them, that you’ll instantly feel a kind of, like kind of a reboot. If you do feel that when you start adding these in, that’s also a telltale sign that you are dehydrated. But another way to tell if you are dehydrated is what color is your pee? Is you pee super yellow? Then you’re dehydrated, you need to be bringing more liquids in your diet. When you take your skin you can actually do a skin test here. You can actually pull up your skin, and you see how my skin just popped right down? It means I’m decently hydrated. If your skin slowly kind of goes down, or slowly cuts to separate, that’s also a telltale sign that you’re dehydrated.

So be looking for those signs and if you haven’t added some of these solutions, like the lemon juice, the apple cider vinegar, the coconut water, the salt in your water, add these into your diet. If you want to do the combo juice, you can do that with again, cucumber, celery, lemon, it’s a phenomenal hydrating juice that you can add to your diet to help you stay hydrated this summer.
